Reliquary Figure

The small work is refined in its final effect. All along the work, the juxtaposition of contrasting smooth and engraved sheets applied to the figure, is carefully calculated: contrasting chromatic metals, inner play between recessed and projecting elements, smooth and incised planes, the use of various geometric elements, and the contrast between the elaborated head and a simple lozenge base.  The reverse side is bare, except for a broad lozenge in relief.
